one more thing

Here are a couple more WWII posters. The first one here is my favorite:

And this one is pretty crazy:


Question: These both seem to be recruiting posters for the military (the first one is more subtle though); which one do you think is a more effective method of motivating people to join the army/military?

    I'd say the first one. I think appealing to one's patriotism is more effective than appealing to one's sense of fear.

    I agree with Heather, definitely the first one. All I think of when I look at the second one, is aliens.

    I agree with both comments above. I think it is more inspiring and effective to portray someone with bravery and honor, then scare them into doing something. Just like they said ha.
